hi new to this forum, iv had my 2002 avensis d4d (old shape) for 5 months now without any problems past few days iv been experiencing problems changing gears, changing from 2nd to 3rd and 4th was very hard i mean hard. tho the gears were fine if i was changing while car was ticking over. so i had gearbox oil changed and used some molyslip treatment which did not help.

tonight i was on me way home from work was in 2nd gear came to slight hill as soon as i put put down in just made some nasty crunching grinding noise and i lost all drive eventually i rolled to a stop it goes into all gears fine but no drive soon as i bring clutch to biting point is just grinds and crunches but car does not go no where.

about 1000miles ago i had a Blueprint clutch kit fitted could it be faulty clutch??

If it was the flywheel

then you would have heard it knocking on start up..

or whilst its running.

+ flywheel wont cause crunching noises.

Id be very suprised if it was.
