Yaris Tire Question

hi guys,

a friend of mine had a tire blow out on her yaris while heading to work this morning. she got it towed to the nearest toyota dealer and picked it up this afternoon. unfortunately, they didn't have her particular tire model at the dealer, so they replaced it with one from a different brand. she asked if it would be a problem and they told her no, so now she has three of one brand and one of another on her yaris. i was under the impression that mixing models, let alone brands, of tires was universally a bad idea. am i wrong about this? or should i make sure she gets a tire that matches the others?

Not Ideal. At the very least the garage should have advised to change in pairs. Poor advice yet again at the hands of a garage. I'd ask if they'd order a pair in and swap, or go somewhere else.
