hey, i recently had my rolla in to mr T for what i was told was needed by a toyota mechanic friend. master cylinder and window regulator. turns out that the toyota warranty (used car 1 year one) wont cover either of the parts. the garage were great and felt bad so gave me £10 in fuel take the sting out of it, but just wondering how much new parts would be? however i will be ringing customer relations to c what i can do cos i have only had the car 2 months. thanks.

typical mr t! has your dealer not heard of goodwill? naughty really - which cylinder, brake or clutch? if you play this right should be able to get master cylinder done under warranty but the window regulator is a differenrt matter. you say you'va had the car for 2 moons but how old is the car including mileage?

Unbelievable, as AE102 says where's the goodwill? If the car isn't to far out of the Mr T warranty and the miles are sensible push for the parts at cost and the labour at a discounted rate, as a minimum.

Otherwise the dealer could claim for an item that is covered by the warranty and use the credit to pay for your bits, if they wanted to help you, i couldnt condone this action though ;)
