i have a 1994 ss11.its only got 60,000 on it and went for the nct yesterday and failed on emissions by .1%.

any ideas why or how do i fix this for the re-test.oh the nct is the irish version of the mot.thanx

Stuff you can add to the fuel, called cataclean i think, can improve the emissions, tested in car mechanic mag, for cars that are marginal

If you don't use the car a lot, then some good quality fuel or else regular fuel + Redex or similar, and a good blast may sort it.

I've heard of plenty of cars that don't get used much and which fail the MOT for want of a decent run on good fuel to clean out their systems.
