hi i'm new to the celica forums but i usually frequent the corolla section.

my mate just bought a gen 7 celica and is looking at some parts to modify it. whilst browsing i found this strut bar, but i'm not sure how and where it will fit.

any help would be appreciated.

here's the link to the item : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-03-04-05...sspagenameZWDVW

thanks :D

I think I'd fit that one in the bin.

But a functional one would be fitted across the top of the rear struts - you'll have to remove the plastic trim at the side of the boot (near where the rear seat backs meet the boot sides) and this will probably need to be cut away before it can be re-fitted.

Good; their purpose is to tie the struts together to prevent them flexing under load.

I've heard good reports of them being useful on the Gen 7 Celica if you're really pushing it on the bends, though to work it needs to be strong enough to do the job, and needs to mount properly. That one definitely looked like it was all show, and no go.

i think you'd be better trying to find one thats got more width to it, silly as it may seem the chuckyer strut brace really does help.

when you compare the two:

....better to spend a bit more money IMO
