60,000 Mile Service On A Yaris

Hi guys

After replacing my rear brake pads last month myself (first mechanical thing I have ever done lol).

The next job on the list is a service for my 6 year old T-Sport P1. As I am still skint and my local Toyota in Rayleigh is absolute pants as many of you guys on here like me already know to our cost I need to find someone in Essex who can do a full 60,000 service at a good price.

The cheapest I have found so far is F1-autocentre.co.uk who do a full service for £105 or £95 if you print off a voucher from their website.

Or my second option is to try and do the service myself. Do you think this is wise from someone who has only ever replaced brake pads? If not should I try and replace what I can as reccommended in my owners manual and leave the rest to a garage to do eg replace brake fluid etc? Also would an ordinary Yaris Haynes manual be any good considering they dont do one for the T-Sport?

And finally my last option could be to get a VCR (Vehicle Condition Report) which Vauxhall do and other main dealers do? Anything the report picks up I can replace (including whats on the 60,000 service) and again anything I cannot do I will let a garage do for me.

Sorry to ramble on and for all the questions.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this.

I will keep everyone updated

Nick :)

Mate give Westfield Motors a ring - they are up past Makro - they've done our Estate and the 20K & 30K service on our 2005 1.3 Blue - they know what they are talking about and prices are good too. They are a Toyota & Lexus specialist & will be doing the 40K service another 3k aswell.

Hi, i saw your recommendation for Westfield and may well give them a go when i need my next service!

I was gonna suggest the t-sport be done by someone who knows the cars well and they seem just the ticket. worth getting a quote from first though as main dealers are not always as dear as we think they are. I usually use Jemca in seven Sisters Road, London. Gar.
