Does the car automatically charge the key Battery when in the ignition? If not has anyone had to replace the Battery in their Aygo key?

I doubt that the car can charge the key Battery very much.

The key Battery will eventually need replacing according to usage.

Quick answer. No! The car doesn't charge the fob Battery. The key has one of those flat lithium batteries. I've had loads of different cars with the same type of fob and never had to change a Battery in them.(although the longest I've kept any car is 3 and a half years) Obviously, the fob Battery will drain faster if you're opening and closing the car many times a day.
