4.1 Owners

Anchorman got me thinking on one of my previous threads..... can someone else with a 4.1 confirm if you do get a dashboard light when your headlights are on? i only seem to get a light for main beams and thought one of my lights might of died....

Anyone?

I only noticed the absence of a dashboard light because i've been driving a hire car for a few days (Vauxhall Vetra - yak! way too low down!) and when i got back in mine i didnt have a light...but maybe i never did???

FRom memory of my 4.1, There was a sidelight indicator, Nothing for dipped beam and then the blue one for full beam

I've never seen a dipped beam light in a RAV or any other Toyota. The later ones have a green "lights on" warning light but it comes on with the sidelights.

OK - you will get the dash lights on when the sidelights are switched but no other 'alert' light. When dipped beam is on, there is no alert light. When main beam is on, there is a blue light lit up on the dash panel between the dials.

When driving in the dark, with your lights on, you no longer need a man out front with a red flag....

Just dug out my handbook - your right AM there is no light for sidelights after all!!!!! i bow to your superior knowledge yet again!!! t'was just me being a newbie!
