Hi,

I am new here and have just ordered a new 5 door Toyota Auris 1.4 D-4D MMT in Black with VSC, Protection and Stlye Packs.

Got an excellent deal and should have the car in 1 - 2 weeks.

I have read with interest some of the comments regarding the MMT and trust that I can change my driving style to suit the car. Not a bad thing really, it must work as they have designed and tested it, although I can understand why some may resist the change if it is not what they were expecting.

I have bought the car through necessity to get mobile again and forward planning that in time it will be used as a driving school car.

I am currently 2 1/2 years into my recovery from a bad motorcycle accident and had an operation in February this year which has resulted in a metal frame on my left leg and it will be there for a year or so.

Having already ruled out the new Honda Civic iShift which I had tried last year before my leg was in the frame, ruled it out due to style of gearbox & gear changes, I went out on Sunday, already knew there was no room in V/hall Astra, so tried the new Golf DSG Auto and although I could get in the car there was no room to get my leg comfortable and clear of brake pedal. Next I tried the Toyota Auris and was suitably impressed with the space in the driver's seat but then found out the gearbox was similar to that in the Honda! So . . . . next I went to the Honda Dealer and to my dismay could not get my leg in the car ! ! Wouldn't even go in past the steering column.

So back home and a wee bit of research on the internet and numerous telephone calls later secured an excellent deal.

I hope to get and give some good information from/to the forum.

Cheers, Brian

Hi,

Shields Toyota hamilton couldn't get close to the correct price for the car but I must admit to being very pleased with their overall level of service. I have used them for over 3 years and feel you have maybe been unlucky your problem hasn't been followed through.

Cheers
