Gti Starter Motor

hi, could anyone help me in locating the starter motor on my corolla gti its the 1.6 16v twin cam model 1990. thanks ian any help greatly appreciated

Seems obvious, but there is always someone breaking a Gti on E-bay, but why not try your local scrapyard, or use one of the online scrap merchants. I used Jap Parts.. They sourced an alternator for my GT4, at only £40, and it arrived in just two days! :D

Its under the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine. Follow the cable from the Battery and you will be able to see it.
