hi everyone, i've just changed my rear signal lights to LED, the blinking speed has became faster a lot, does that affects the life of the other signal lights as i haven't changed the others.

Not really, but if the flash rate isn't within the allowed tolerances you will be pulled for it.

The flasher unit requires a certain load, and if that load isn't present then it flashes more quickly.

What do you suppose the benefits of LED indicator bulbs are? I know with brake lights they're supposed to light up a nanosecond faster, but not sure I can see the point with indicator bulbs. Is it for longevity?

well, when i was putting the danger warning button the flash was very normal, but for turning signals it got very rapid flashes. The good thing for LEDs are they give good brightness.... by the way, would the problem solved if i change all turning signal bulbs to LED ones?

I think it would probably get worse. You may need to find a way of applying a dummy load to the circuit to make the flasher unit think that it has the load it was designed for. You could use a heavy duty resistor or a bulb perhaps, but wherever you put it be careful that it cannot get hot and start a fire.

hmmm, i probably just leave it like that, just waiting the LED supplier for a exchange for my stop/brake lights now, i ordered the wrong set, i ordered two pairs so that i put it like this way, rear indicators, then the other two bulbs for high stop light and the reverse lamp
