Hello there, im new to the forum but have used it on and off for info regarding my previous toyotas ;)

I just got a pre facelift corolla t-sport and immediatly bought the twin pipe tte exhausts for it (not to be confused with compressor dual exhaust). After having it fitted, it seems to be a little bit "lob sided"! Iv tried adjusting it but there isnt reali any adjustment as it just bolts on. Is anyones elses like this as i carnt find many pics of the ***** end of a corolla with this exhaust on (except the facelift t-sport thats been picutred a few times)?? Any one know of a cure?

Many thanks

I thought Im the only one to have this problem! Both Toyota RRG Manchester and Demon Tweek fail to align the exhaust! :censor:

Im currently looking at the Laser rear silencer with a single 100mm outlet from Jama. That's should sort the problem out! But there isn't anyone in UK stocking it! :ffs:

I wanted a single outlet exhuast at 1st but got fed up with looking for one. But now it annoys me everytime i look at the rear! im that mad im thinkin of putting standard one back on. Iv emailed tte about this but they havnt replied as yet. How does yours hang then? My left hand pipe (as if you were looking at the exhuast from behind vehicle) sits lower than the right hand

Same! The left pipe on mine is a bit lower as well! Yep it makes great noise compare with standard but it's a bit of an eyesore when looking at the car from behind! I just hope it rusts quickly so that I got an excuse to change it!

I doubted you will get a reply from TTE! My Toyota dealer said they don't rfund TTE parts beside they said the product is not defective!!! :censor:

TTE usually respond within 24hrs - i've always found them very helpful. i've noticed all the TTE boxes look the same. modify the rubbers?

Do you mean the same as in slightly hanging down on left hand side? To be honest i think its the positioning of where the exhaust rubbers hang that causes it to sit like this as the front and rear hangers of the back box are nearer the right hand side.

Has any one else with pre-facelift models got this problem?? any pics?? It seems the people with facelift models dont have this issue with what pics iv seen but maybe this has something to do with a lower and fatter rear bumper

How much is a tte box new going for these days?

Got mine for just under £250 after a bit of haggling but i did buy service bits at the same time. Think it was bout 273 full wack. Payed all that money and iv got a wonky exhaust! :o

I had a TTE silencer fitted to my pre-facelift CTS in January and when I got it home I noticed that it didn't sit right.

Can't remember which way it was out but all I did when it cooled off was grab a tailpipe in each hand and "manually

adjust" until it looked aligned. Wasn't sure that it would do the trick long term but checked it since and it hasn't moved.

If you need a photo let me know and I'll get something sorted over the weekend.

Yeh if you could get some photos please mate that would be appriciated. I have tried adjusting it like you said and it did go straight but as soon as you gone on a journey its back in its original position

Im suprised nobody else has ever metioned this as it seems to be quite a common issue

Hello akatheking,

Sorry it's taken so long only just sussed out how to do the photo upload and link (hopefully it works)

http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/8541/dsc00247qa9.jpg

(You may have to paste them into your browser)

Images are taken with mobile so not that good but shows the exhaust straight as far as I can see.

(I'm an engineer and it would annoy the hell out of me if it was out).

I promise I haven't touched it since I adjusted it on the day it was fitted.

If you want I can take some photos of the mounting positions and the fixing position to the forward section

so you can adjust to same.

Regards,

Mark

What do ye all think about a slash cut stainless steel box? iv been thinking about it recently and think it would look well, 4 or 5 inch maybe. also are the blitz boxes very loud. id rather something at a low deep growl that would be ok for doing larger journeys. any custom guys in northern ireland that can be recomended that arent powerflow guys
