Any Driving Instructor Members Using Auris Mmt?

Hi,

I have just ordered a new Auris 1.4D MMT and expect delivery in 1-2 weeks.

I know at the moment there may not be dual controls available for the car but wonder if anyone on the forum is aware of any driving instructors who already use this model for driving lessons?

If there are, what have your experiences been?

Hi,

No answers yet so looks as though this could be the first Auris MMT driving school car.

I look forward to getting my car and playing about with the different gearbox modes. I will certainly report back my experiences.

I haven't actually driven the Auris yet but I am led to believe that it is similar to the New Honda Civic i-Shift.

I have had the petrol Civic out on an extended test drive about a year and a half ago and although I did get used to the gearbox it wouldn't have been my first choice.

In all honesty I preferred the use of the paddle shift changes for rural driving for better control and felt auto mode was ok for town driving.

If anyone has experience comparing both cars I would like to hear about it.
