Very Strange Sign On My Can Of Carling....

On the side of my can of Carling there is a picture of a lady with a pot belly and a red line through it.

Is this something to do with Weight Watchers or Slimming World?

To be honest it looks like she is eating an ice cream.

Question, how far do you think they will go with government warnings, this country is turning into a joke. I had to fill out an accident form at work the other day because someone got a paper cut (and I'm not kidding).

I'm sure all pregnant women know that drinking alcohol during pregnancy can harm their child.

I bought an electrical item once with the warning "please do not lick" - no joke, I knew there was no hope after I saw that. :P

Hi craige, you are in the wrong section and asking in the middle of a totally unrelated thread

try the corolla section and start up your own thread there!

as for stupid warnings, the best are on bags of nuts - "warning - Contains nuts"

The thing is, the warnings are daft but they've got to put them on to stop giving dumb/cheeky people an excuse to try to sue companies. People will try to sue for anything for anything these days & always say "Well, it doesn't say that [something that everyone with the smallest bit of common sense would know] so we're suing you.

I remember hearing about some woman who killed herself by using a knife to unblock the nozzle of a can of hairspray while using a candle to help her see (you couldn't make it up). Her daughter tried to sue the company because it didn't say not to do that. The warnings on the can were "Warning: Do not pierce" & "Warning: Highly flammable, do not use near a naked flame". Don't think she won though

well they cannot put warnings about everything on everything

like buying a joint of meat at the supermarket and it saying "warning, do not unwrap near a family of hungry lions at a safari park........." maybe i could sue hmmmmm

Stupid, but necessary on peanuts. Peanuts aren't nuts at all, they are legumes. The Nut warning applies to the nut oil that may be present from the processing of the peanuts - the nut oil being the bit that people have allergies to .

Here's a stupid one though.............Milk.jpg

see if you can spot the blatantly obvious on this label

I remember going to an MR2 meet and a lady with a grey MR2 had "small children must only be seated in the rear" printed on the inside of her sun visor.

I later found out that she had the visor replaced and it was off a corrolla or something.

Try licking a 9v battery

I was always the kid at school who was too chicken to do that.

Remember when I lived in Scotland getting shocks of electric fences!

What are you lot like

No Kev hunny, I do have a few remaining brain cells left not to lick an electrical item

However general licking of other such "items" I would reccomend using either vodka or chocolate :lol2:

Is that before you would lick them or do the items have to be coated in chocolate and vodka?
