Lots Of Help Required.

:) Iv decided to give the car a good check up and replace parts and do some future upgrades. Need urgent help from everyone who has done these things befor or has any idea of what to do.

First and foremost i have a corolla t3 model. 2005.

Body

I am in need of getting a spoiler for the car and front lip/valance. The front lip will be the tte lip, the rear spoiler the original toyota spoiler also.

These items how easy are they to fit. Im certain the front is direct and easy, remove the bolts from the black lip which comes with the car and then bolt on the new one the same way. Please correct me if im wrong.

Secondly the rear spoiler, how does that fit on will it go over the original existing silver thing which is like the join of the rear windscreen and top of the car or does that bit come off and the spoiler go in its place. If so can someone advice does it need to be professionaly fitted as that can be arranged.

Also for the 2 parts how much paint costs should i expect to pay they are small items, and also roughly fitting for the back spoiler either from a local reputable garage or toyota.

Engine

Was going to give the car a service myself change the oil etc drain the old out put the new in, change the filter change spark plugs.

To begin with i wasnt going to bother just changing the filter was going to put a induction kit on. Possibly typhoon.

Will the typhoon fit on this corolla or is it only for the t sport. I read here earlier they can fit on the other corollas. Please could someone confirm this.

Secondly what grade spark plugs looking for a bit of a performance help...i was looking at Bosch, if not can someone recommend any?

Suspension

I was also going to lower the car, not looking for a major drop a simple 30mm to cover the big gap of the 17 alloys on.

Can the car be dropped on 30mm springs with no changes on the shocks or anything else just dropped with 30mm springs?

any ideas on a cheap pair of springs floating around.

Interior

I needed to buy a couple of bits and bobs for the car, anyone breaking a 2001 on corolla... of which i can pick some interior parts of, looking for the 5 door rear passenger side door trim which lifts up as a idiot lost it wen leaving the car and i was doing wiring under my door seals at the time.

Secondly, the vent covers wanted to change them.

Finnaly anyone removed the steering wheel bits i painted mine and scuffed it quite bad. really bugging me at the moment i need to get it sorted, Smoftah i tried the steering wheel thing but theres no where to pull out with a screw driver. The two torx screws on the side are a pain i cant get them out and i beleive they are the only ones. any advise on this matter will be much appreciated.

Thanks

The only way you can get the steering wheel off is by removing the airbag (2 torx screws in the back of the wheel). The torx dont come all the way out of the steering wheel, they just need unscrewing enough and the airbag can be pulled forward.

Airbag/horn then needs unplugging carefully. Now you can undo the nut for the steering wheel (make sure steering lock is off or wheel wont come off)

Also dont turn the spiral cable beind the steering wheel too much - if its turned too much it will get damaged.

Mart.
