Am I Going Mad?

Afternoon all,

I have recently bought a T-Sport Compressor and have been having plenty of fun with it.......

However, Toyota suggest that they do 0-60 in 6.9 seconds but I believe that they are quicker. I havent put it on the rolling road yet, but will hopefully be doing that soon.

It is totally standard with no mod's too. It is either my head playing tricks on me or Toyota has told a white lie when declaring the acceleration speeds….?

I have spoke to Kangsy (another Compressor owner on here - thanks for the info Kangsy), and he agrees with me.

Firstly, can anyone confirm whether I am right or wrong? And secondly, can anyone shed some light on whether you can control the charger output via the ECU like some people have suggested on here in the past - therefore increasing power??

Much appreciated to all.

Cheers.

i agree think they are quicker 0-60 than 6.9, this needs testin properly by experts like us ha ha!!!!

mate of mine said bout puttin a smaller pulley on the charger which will make it spin faster at lower speeds than it does now incresing performance, but need to look in to this an see how it will affect reliability

Yeah, someone told me that it was as easy as changing a cog attached to the charger but someone also mentioned to me that power can be increased by remapping the ECU.........?

oops i meant isnt remapable.. need to get a stand alone system and you can remap it to how ever you like!

but pulley is an option but... once again reliability is the issue!
