Replacement Aircon Pump for a Avensis D4D T-3x on a 03 plate

The old part number for this pump is 88310-05100

The new part number for this pump is 88310-05101

Here lies the problem no-one seems to know what part number is required, I have had the old pump inspected whilst still on the car and the only numbers we can find are

5SE 12C

GE447220-9750

My supplier says that the first bit is right and that the first 6 characters of the next bit is correct (ge4472) but then they don't correspond and that they are reluctant to send this as it will be wrong, any technical help would be most welcome. Local Toyota boys not interested as I'm not buying new from them

5SE 12C is the aircon pump type

GE447220-9750 is the part number of the aircom pump, all the digits must be the same apart from the last (0) if the new is compatible with the old.

I suggest you check the aircon pump on the vehicle again, there is sometimes one label on the rear of the compressor (opposite face to the pulley) which just contains the Denso number and type like you have quoted above.

There should be another label on the main body of the compressor giving the Toyota number, 88310-05100, a different Denso number and the date code. This may be obscured on the installation, but won't be on the rear face of the compressor (ie towards the engine block)

I suggest you have another look at the compressor.
