Help!

Recently bought a Import Hilux Pick-up, two months ago. 2.4 TD, SSR-X, appears to have alot of stuff the same as the Surf. Many questions, any help would be appreciated.

- Where do they store the bar that lowers the spare wheel?

- Can anyone explain exactly how the four wheel drive system works (never had a four wheel drive automatic before )?

- Vehicle has black smoke occasionally when accelerating, done oil, oil filter, fuel filter change, didnt change the air filter (looks in quite good condition). Had a few opinions that it could possibly be; injectors?, turbo (as this has oil leaking out of inlet hose)?, done roughly 100k milage.

Cheers mate has helped with a number of things. Do you know where i can get new injectors from, roughly how much they will be or is it a better option to get them cleaned?

What is the best way to blocked the egr valve?

Also if there is oil coming out the inlet hose on the turbo( enough to leak out and start leaving spots where i park) would you say it needed a new turbo?

Nobody seems to have heard of engine number LN112 can anybody help?

Have you tried Milners or Roughtrax for the injectors.

The EGR mod should be shown here http://www.hiluxsurf.eu/faq_service.htm#smoke

Not sure on the turbo, but it might be worth taking all the inlet pipes off and cleaning.

Cheers Andy. Both Roughtrax & Milners say they dont sell the injectors. Be nice to get truck sorted out, i had a celica which i spent lots on and was great to own something which didnt have any engine trouble for the 3 yrs i owned it. Still enjoying the big truck even with few hick ups. :)
