Am gunna go on this Mobile Broadband malarky!

seen this from o2 http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/o2mobilebroadband

Doesn't look too bad. I dunno though. Is 3gb for £20 good? the modem is free!

then there is the others.

being on o2 it would be easier to just have the one bill but I don't wanna pay through my teeth for convenience.

Three are offering it for £15 a month but three are rubbish in my opinion and have poor coverage round here.

Yes, in the far north this seemed like a possibility, but having been warned by the O2 shop that it might not 'really be available in your area', I went a bit cool on it. The deal seemed to be to sign up, then when it did not work, one could reclaim what one had paid — sounded too much hassle to me. Surely they do or do not know know if it will work on my exchange? I cannot say that I have found O2 anything other than dreadful to deal with when things go wrong as far as the mobile phone goes.

Yes, coverage in the North of Scotland is also hopeless with 'Three' — shame, as on paper their mobile USB gizzmo for a laptop does seem theoretically superior to the current competition and the one belonging to a friend I tried was impressive (in London).

My big gripe with O2 at the moment is that I used to use dial-up to collect e-mails when away from home (pitiful 9,600 speed, but part of the 'free' calls), but now the robbers charge 30p a minute and an 0845 call is not part of the pre-paid package.

I have just bought T-mobile web'n walk.... but my mobile account is with orange.

£15 per month unlimited use.......as long as your not caning it e.g. not surfing for 24 hours a day.

I haggled for some goodies too.....£25quid to spend in the shop and then another £50 put into my account.

Ask if they do any cash back deals....I was told at first that they didn't do it....then it started out at £25 cash back, I then ended up with the deal above.

I think that's a result.

Now that is interesting, does that mean you require a T-mobile signal or an Orange one? (As I only have the choice of O2 or Vodafone signals, it would have to be through one of these).

I think it is, well done. Interestingly, having just travelled south yesterday by ferry & train rather than plane, using the National Express on-line wi-fi broadband (standard as well as first class now) seems really useful and in contrast to being ripped off with the 'hot-spot' wireless prices at the airport. (Also, what a pleasure not to have to endure all that so-called security farce and the ability to take as many cases as one can shift on to a train!)
