When Your Feeling Down With Your T-sport

Hi All,

I changed jobs on Monday and the Accord Diesel went back, i have been driving around all week in a pool 308 Diesel and suffice to say what a pile of :censor: . This car must weigh 1.5+ tonnes easy and even though its a 140PS Diesel its sooo slow, i don't think the rear suspension is connected to the car either. The non adjustable clock is 9 minutes wrong the LCD radio display has half packed up and the transmission shunt through the gear stick is painful through your wrist. Its £19k for this, anyone buying one must need their head testing, when i got this car it had 6 miles on the clock!

Took the rolla out for a blast yesterday and its so much better to drive even though she's 5yrs older, yes i know there not the same car but as the topic title says, drive one of these if your fed up of your T-Sport. You wont be fed up for long.

Am waiting to breakdown for the first time in years. :crybaby:

"Peugeot, the drive of your life"

The fella who thought that up must have laughed his gonads off after driving one!

Hope you don't breakdown matey, but it's not looking good after a few miles......

They do seem to have strange understanding of the "drive of your life", back in 2001 i had an early 307 hire car (when my works Astra died) which gave me the scare of my life, doing the normal motorway fast lane speed in the dark during rush hour, it died switching every thing off including the lights for a few seconds then it restarted switching everything back on-quality products.

yet every cabbie you speak to thinks the HDi unit is the best engine ever? i've had more niggles with me tsport than me mother had with her 307? i think once a pug aint in the hands of the dealership they become reliable? strange how us that like jap cars generally loathe french stuff yet the new Auris looks like a pug.....

Jesus, at those speeds that must be terrifying! Maybe that’s what they mean with their slogan - real seat of your pants stuff!! :D

Strange you say mention that though, just I know a lass who had a 206 that did the exact same thing several times, thankfully not at those speeds. She couldn’t trust it and so shot of it in a part-ex. And then there’s one of the lads with a 106 which averages a back box a year - they just snap at the box. Evidently, quality is their specialty!

That karma thing’s going to bite me on the backside now and my gearbox will drop out……

Alright there, ae102.

I can see where you're coming from with the looks of the Auris, looks a touch like a pug, which looks like a golf. I quite like the Auris though! Each to their own I guess.

Is you're mams car not a one off? The bloke next door has a 306 with 150k on the clock and it still runs like a dream, it's never had a problem! Yet the bloke a few doors up the other way has an 04 (I think) 307 that's virtually imploding. He's an old fella and it can't have done many miles. French cars just don't seem to have any middle ground, it's either a cracker or a minger!

The HDI engine's are good, its the multiplex wiring in the early 307's that caused all the problems, all the cars were recalled if memory serves, the idea was great it just wasn't done all that well. In my experience many of the faults in French cars niggly electrical ones. A friend of mine had a 307 that opened its windows on its own, nice quirk! I've always thought 306/406 are good cars as they're not to complex, its the later stuff with the real clever bits that seem to cause problems.

AE102, if your mums got a good one, lets hope we've not jinxed it! I hadn't noticed before that the Auris looked like a 307, but after you said it in a post a while ago every time i see one i think it does, and if I'm honest 307 looks better...........sorry Auris fans. :)

no me mother had one of lease through work - broke down once, think that was electrical too. recalls - if they were done by a pug dealer........... that was her only complaint on the car was the dealer. dont get me wrong. i dispise french cars - but one thing i did notice is how many women give you the eye - birds seem to luv em?

Firstly i cant speak for all women but...most who i know who like Pugs seem to like the lightness of the controls i.e clutch, gearbox etc and ease of drive, shows what they know i would translate lightness and easy of drive to cheap and nasty!
