grrr

i notices a week or so ago, i have some deep swirls beside the nearside headlamp and onto the bonnet, i tried some elbow grease and turtle-wax bit it wont come off.

i just KNOW this wasnt me, but i didnt notice it either when i took delivery, it looks like maybe some rotary-polisher damage

is this just tough luck, or should i mention it to the dealer?

Both.

They should be able to sort it quite easily for you.

If try to you do it yourself and aren't sure what you're doing you might make it worse.

If the dealer refuses then check out the detailing thread for help on how to deal with it.

How old is your car??

If you're not happy - you could give the dealer a call just to let them know - it can't hurt. It could be something they could fix very easily. A car is a big purchase so you should be 100% happy. Someone else may know of this problem & provide another solution. Best of luck with it.

Good luck with it - let us know the outcome.

Doesn't surprise me in the least. Dealers seem not to care about car detailing as much as we do. I know a local main dealer of mine employs an old guy with a dirty old sponge and bucket to wash all the cars on the forecourt so they look clean and shiny. Who knows what dirt's trapped in that sponge, ruining all the new paintwork!! I think they also polish a car before supplying it so it could have been done then. I wouldn't expect much from them though, they could just say that you did it when cleaning it or when using a rotary polisher!

I noticed at my dealer that they contract an external company to clean their cars.
