Keep Loosing Power

hi friends..

since last two weeks I have noticed that my avensis keep loosing power..

its like when u insert key, the dash board light will show up..

then the lights will go off when i turn the key to start the car..

i can hear beep beep sounds when its going dead...

and after 2 minutes without doing anything the lights will come again in the dash board...

some times it will start otherwise it will go dead again..

and today just gone off the power 2 times in the town.. while the engine is running..

people started swearing at me cos no power for even hazard light...

any idea why is this happening..?

if low Battery or Battery dead wouldn't start at all.. but here the power is there..

please help

this is avensis 1.8 vvti GLS 2000 model

the car started this morning..

checked all the connections looks fine to me..

don't know when its going to be dead again..

i have tried few times today actually so far so good...

i am getting static shock from the door as well some times..

any ideas..?

Hi there

My dad has got one of these vehicles and he had, what sounds to be a similar problem. It was the turbo. Try giving these guys a ring. TURBO CLINIC 01132854666. They sorted it out straight away.

but this is vvti engine..

any way tried again today..

same problems, wouldn't start at all..

could it be a fault with an alarm/immobliser?

i don't know..

but the thing is i can still use my remote key to lock and unlock..

these happens only when i turn the ignition to start.. goes offf...

really strange..

fortunately its started today..

dont know when this gonna happen again..
