Celica Console Replacement?

Hi guys/gals, just wondering if anyone knows a website/place that does replacement console parts. Someone broke into my car and attempted to steal the stereo but in doing so totalled the centre console (the part around the stereo, aircon unit and around the gearstick)

I've been trying for ages to find something to replace it, and the best I've had so far was a dash customization kit that wasn't obviously labelled so on eBay, and even after confirming with the user it was a dash replacement, it still turned out to be a set of stickers heh. ya live and learn :)

have been thinking that at the same time as replacing the console I could "upgrade" to a nicer console, but I can't find a replacement for the standard one at the moment, so anything would be nice lol

This is a close up of the worst of the damage (although the stereo is damaged beyond repair, even if it looks fine and dandy grr)

Welcome PKMax.

That sucks.

I doubt you'll find an alternative to the standard one, other than perhaps seeing whether you can upgrade to the Climate Control - but that's probably a much bigger job.

The only place you're going to source that stuff is either Mr T (contact Parts-King for a price) or else a breakers which is probably the way to go because even Parts-King's prices won't be cheap for all the bits you need. Also look on eBay for people breaking Celicas, though for the Gen 7 supply is probably much greater than demand because they're still relatively new compared to the 5 and 6 Gens which are always being broken it seems.

The bit around the Radio itself will be easier - you can probably get it from Autoleads.

Good luck.

Cheers, I'd not thought of breakers yard actually, I'll have a ring round see if I can find something :) Thanks

I've seen a few pics of new Celicas with different consoles with all sorts of gauges in em, which look quite cool :) but assume they maybe fabricated em themselves.

Not seen those. I guess you can fit a set of DIN size gauges in if you go for a single DIN head unit.

PS - in previous post I should have said 'Demand greater than supply' not the other way round ;)

Good luck with finding what you need, and I hope the scrotes that did that get what they deserve.

BTW - can you not claim on insurance, or will loss of Excess and NCB hit you hard?

hehe, I read the original 'Demand greater than supply' part several times before I realised it was supposed to be the other way round :)

I've seen some of the gauges that are using one of the Din slots aye, but these other ones I saw replaced the digital clock area, gonna see if I can find em. I had a quick search and can't find the ones I saw the other day now dang, but did find some that replaced the coin bucket area above the din slot with gauges.

but the ones I saw the other day were all nicely rounded at the top where the clock was, no idea what they were for, but that's not the point hehe. I'd have a Barometer, Horizon monitor and a compass.. sorted :) hehe

I could claim on insurance and have full no claims, but not protected no claims :( the hit would cost me a lot in the area I live in.

Hi,

I have seen replacement consuls on eBay in the past and sometimes (I consider) cheap too. Don't know about any upgrades though, but worth a try a suppose?
