sorry but oil consumption again. people with this problem how many miles can u do before you have to top it up again i know toyota say if itsabout 1 litre per 1000 miles its bad i meen i used 1.5 litres doing 320 miles so thinks mines really bad.

Yeah that's bad, no car should drink that much and not have a problem. I only have to put a little bit in every couple of months or so, but then mine's done 80k.

hi mate

sounds like your engine is using far to much,i would get in touch with toyota to see if you can claim for a new short block,keep us posted.your engine can be repaired if not covered.pm me if interested

mines just done 60k miles also aswell as the mad oil comsumption does anyone experiance flat spots alot when accerlerating? it only seems to happen sometimes. yeh im taking it for a mot in a few weeks ill see what toyota say dont realy want to spend too much repairing it thou thinkin of getting the 2.5 v6 vectra seeing as i loved my last 2 liter vectra but my gf wont let me get rid of the celica lol and tbh it is a great car
