Avensis 2004 - I opened the flap to the right of the steering wheel where the manual says the fuse box is. THe inside of the flap has a diagram saying which fuse is which but heres the problem - I cant locate any fuses - the manual indicates that its just inside the flap but I cant see anything - anybody know how to access it?

Your on the right track. With trim removed you should see Black control unit mounted on steel bracket, slide module off mounting. You should now see group of cables going upwards to Fusebox, loosen Fusebox & draw back towards you. for fuse access.

No that is not it, remove your drawer where your manual and other stuff is normally stored in, don't know the correct english for it 'cabin trunk' I think?

Anyway the drawer infront of the passenger's knees, there on the left you will find the fuse box you need! The drawer just clips out?

In regards to fusebox. D4D has 2 fuse box units as previously stated on right hand side behind black trim. Second fuse box is behind glove box by your heater /aircon unit. Glove box straight forward to remove, while your at it check your pollen filter may be worth a change.

F/Box 1 driver's side. Fuse nu F10 I think should show on card on trim. Only problem is I am sure this fuse covers complete electric window circuit. So your problem could be somewhere else. Switch it self, motor for regulator or just a simple loose connection.

Hi the trim shows a number of fuses for different windows i have checked for the above...and no power to the switch both passenger and drivers over ride!

But i can't see how to get the fusebox down to check the fuses.

Sorry. My apologies, fusebox is just below module have re read earlier posting ( incorrect details, I said above ) from myself follow wires downwards. Remove pedal box trim 2 screws & your number 1 f/box sits just next to OBD 11 connection. Hope this helps.

Hi Rich

I have exactly the same problem as you did. Front passenger electric window no longer working from either the front passenger door or the driver's overide. It just chose to stop working one day. Also, I too have no manual, no way of seemingly getting hold of a manual and even the Haynes manual isn't clear where the bleeding fuses are. So far I have located the fuse board on the right hand side under the bonnet, and I have found the fuse board under the fasia just above the pedals and behind that drawer thing (I have a 2002, 52, Right Hand Drive Avensis GS)

However none of the fuses seem to be labeled in a meaningfull way on the diagram. Am I looking for another fuseboard do you think or is it one of these that I need to change.....I guess what I'm asking is what fuse did you change that solved your problem.

If its not the fuse do you or anyone else have any idea what I should do next.

Thanks in advance......

Just noticed this posting, i had thought all problems sorted out. Why not remove door trim & check for power to window regulator motor unit. Also check your wiring harness between door & A pillar for broken wire. If you have no power there work your way backwards via switch assembly, see if you have power to switch. Good luck.

Could be in the boot. On the power lead from a Reversing light feed wire.
