In the past 7 days, I've ordered and received a new hub for my 1994 RAV4, from Parts-King - ordered and paid on Friday and arrived safe and sound first thing Monday morning! :)

One better though-

Today I went out to search for a metal fabricator to make up a new rear step for the 94 RAV - they are obsolete (the car and the step!). I had the old rear step - what was left of it - in the boot of my fathers car ....well he had petrol in the tank! The step was not intact but did still have the profile, the length, and the bends. I arrived at Marpet Fabrications which I found in workshops at the very end of the M74 in Fullarton Workshops, Glasgow - a company who specialise in the food industry stainless steel fabrication needs.

I must have arrived there about 9.30am and by 10am, I had my new step fabricated exactly to fit the RAV mountings - the guys there could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The price ? The same as a bottle of whisky pretty much. I just had to make this mention as I'm delighted to have the old rusty step problem solved so quickly and easily! :) :) :) :)

There's been 1 or 2 asking for names of good dealers - is it worth thinking of making up a list of good suppliers??

I know theres companies advertising here and of course we should always give them a chance.
