Why not try Bilstein dampers with TTE springs?

I'm on Standard shockers and TTE springs and the difference is vast, once i fitted a strut-brace it improve things again. When you look at the pics its bizarre Toyota let it out of the factory like they did, maybe the product planner also deals with RAV4's!

Anyone rate the Race Dynamics Lowering Springs on eBay for £75 delivered?

Cheap though I don't know if they are any good?

How much are Eibachs costing?

i've bought cheaper springs before - not as cheap as that neither and i wouldnt recommend, i found the powder coat finish cracks quickly which allows the spring to rust and ultimately weaken. i think my eibachs where under £150. if/when i change my shocks will probably go for a set of billies or go the full way and get the TRD set-up. plans are on hold now for a bit as i need to put some money into the GXi

Hey Guys, New on the TOC myself!

I've got a 2005 Facelifted CTS and just orded some 18s. I'm assuming it'll look as though it's on stilts after they've been put on.

Do you guys recommend lowering it all? if so, What shall I use? (Am I right in thinking the Facelift is roughly 25mm lower than pre-facelift anyway?)

facelift is 15mm lower - get her lowered  depends on what you want to achieve? i've got eibachs which dont drop her to the floor but ride is still decent but only gives a small improvement in handling.

I'm not too bothered about her being slammed to the floor, I want to keep atleast some ride comfort with the 18s! I'd like a drop that doesn't involve rolling my arches or shredding my tyres every few days. I tend not to lash her around corners, only a good thrashing on the straights to annoy BMW drivers, Woop!

the lowering may have to wait on mine for small while, leaving the car into get the bumper fixed, the previous owner gave it a nice scuff and trailed the shoppin bags out across the bumper lip. -t-sport, do you have a vid on you tube with ur rolla and sum kool tunes?

Thats what i like about my T-Sport the most, upsetting BMW drivers especially the reps in 318d's with the badges removed, i can see them now :crybaby: all the way home :P

Yea that'd be me. There's a link to my Youtube profile in the 'I'm a TOC Newb' thread.

Edit/ Btw guys, I'm looking around now for the springs and I can't seem to find any, got any sites that may be useful? Just looking for the springs atm.

I saw your vid too, T Sport! I'd never even considered a T-Sport Corolla before seeing a few youtube videos, so I guess you played some part in me buying mine! :D

ae102, is there really not much of a difference from stock on just the Eibach springs??

not a huge difference but a good improvement. i was used to a really stiff set-up in the past but its a good comprimise as stiff suspension can become tiring. handling is defo improved but still has a standard feel. makes the rear a lot less bouncy too.

Nope, I bought it from RRG Macclesfield. Not exactly scotland! As far as I'm aware it only had 1 previous owener who was a Toyota Employee.

All the pics in my profile were taken by me anyhoot, so unless someone is using my pics to advertise their car! :o Naughty!
