dont know if it was a cupra but it had a bodykit on, debadged and something done to his front grill.

overtook him after a bend and he pulled behind me in my lane right up me, he would have gone into back of me if i didnt put foot down.

he had his foot down as he kept with me this was in 3rd and when i hit lift i started to leave him :D this was with my petrol light on lol CTS power !

I had a good one the last day

Came up behind a new shape corolla(saloon, not sold in the UK) doing 60 in the fast land of the duel carriage way, he was just sitting there blocking it keeping pace with a car in the slow lane, so put on the indicator and gave a flash of the lights, as in please move.

Fair enough he did, i went past. Next thing he was out like a bullet behind me flashing the lights, then he went to undertake me but i was watching him in the mirror, dropped it a couple of gears, he got half a car lengths ahead of me and then i hit the lift.

Bye bye vvti!!!!

I put the hand up and waved at him as i went by just to rub it in, he must have felt like a rite t*t, prob still trying to figure out what happened to him . Eased off up the road then, let him pass me, he stuck at 70 odd, i just kept with him.

Id made my point. Good times :D

Pretty sure the CTS is faster than a Cupra

Cupra R new or old will leave a CTS for dust.

Cupras seem to range from 180-240BHP, except the diesels which are 160-170BHP these will be in 3rd by the time the CTS is thinking about 2nd

Dunno about that, know a guy that raced a T-Sport in his 210bhp Audi S3 and said there was nothing in it...Early Cupra Rs (old shape) are 210s and later ones are 225s....

I'd happily give one a go, not remapped though B)

Said there was nothing in the tsport?

the 210's arent that much faster but are still unbeatable. The 225 or the new shape shouldnt be tried.

Was on the M1 Junction coming to the hill past scratchwood services, and a Golf GT came up behind my bumper. Dropped it down a few gears and hit lift but this GT was keeping up!

Anyone have any idea what engine it is. I think its the 1.4 Turbo .... but not sure! Anyway, I am impressed by those Golfs.

The Golf Gt is either the petrol 1.4 Turbo & Supercharged or the 2.0 Diesel both have the option of 140PS or 170PS,petrol will be lighter but the diesel will have more torque.
