i have resurfaced a manifold for my GXi as the old one is leaking. i was wanting to have it ceramic coated but i am doing this car on a budget............. is there a DIY option available?

refitted the manifold - all is well. has anyone had there manifold ceramic coated? i think i saw an article in a mag saying you can get it in a can or is my memory playing tricks again?

a good DIY option is heat wrap the manifold, works well and reduces engine temps significantly.

i doubt belive there is, and if it does exist it can't be very effective, just had a look at some internet articles regarding ceramic heat coatings and they all appear the be plied and treated with plasma jets, @ about 150 degrees :blink: so if you get that in a can! wow. there are loads of VHT paint sprays, especially from Halfords etc, and you can sent your manifold away to get ceramic coated but i don't think it's DIY yet from what i've seen

looks like heat wrap then! could have sworn i saw something........ must have been them paints your on about - nevermind :(
