I have just got back from a visit to my local dealer & whilst having a chat with my Salesman he confirmed that Toyota have just released details of the next special edition to replace the Aygo Blue. Any guesses as to what it is going to be ? Well it is another Aygo Blue only in Slate blue metallic with identical spec to the previous Blue with just one addition. Spec as follows

* Slate blue paint

* Air con

* bluetooth

* Slate blue trimmed mats

* Slate blue bezel trims

* Glove box lid

* Leather gear knob

The new addition is an ammendment to the audio system on all Aygos which include sound pack i.e Aygo + , Blue & Platinum where the rear door / 1/4 panel 10cm Speakers are being replaced with 17cm Speakers in the front doors. Toyota say that the new audio setup offers much more mid range & bass than the current setup.

I don't know about you but the new blue is a bit dissapointing as I hoped there may be a more exciting offering but I suppose Toyota will stick with what is succesfull.

One thing I definatley want is the new front door Speakers which if fitted at port of entry like the current setup means they will be available as an accessory part. My dealer has offered to call me once the new Blue appears on there accessory catalogue. So fingers crossed I won't have too long to wait. :D

So basically the Aygo blue it soooooo good they are making another limited edition of it :rolleyes::lol: I have to say I thinks that utter poo! (damn swear filter) Yes the blue IS the best edition :D but seriously Toyota get an imagination! I was so looking forward to the next edition Aygo and having to contemplate getting it or keeping my no longer available edition :lol:

I think the Aygo has so much potential and given their target demographic is the under 25s I think they need make some more interesting editions.

The sound pack is a good start, dont suppose its you can upgrade?

The style pack is a bit overpriced IMO. Pug offer so much more in value for money and options in terms of accessories. I would consider the 107 over the aygo but they are ugly..lol

The Aygo art was also over priced and only suited one colour on the Aygo and to date I have NEVER seen or heard of anyone get it soo how succesful was that :lol:

I really can't imagine what slate blue is tho, so look forward to the pictures.

Thanks for the post tho...Apologies for my rant...lol,

Anyone know where i can get a job in the Aygo design department?

Damn, I had money on the Aygo Neon Green! :lol:

An Aygo green would make sense, in these times of 'everyone must hug a tree'.

Looks more grey than blue to me..... :rolleyes:

Toyota should have learnt from the Yaris Blue really.... the greyey blue model didn't shift half as well as the Ice Blue & Carlo Blue did...

Now a Carlo Blue Aygo - that would work swimmingly IMO.....

I like the look of that. These limited editions are a bit pricey for my liking but they sure are pretty.

I had my money on a jade green edition- dunno what "gimmick" would come with it mind? LPG? Compost holder?

You can bet an Aygo White's on the cards too.

Hi,

I just checked the accessory installation manuals at http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/

and they now have an installation manual for the new sound pack!

It is listed as either Sound Pack LHD (PZ473-90240-00) or

Sound Pack RHD (PZ473-90240-00)

Basically it appears to be almost the same kind of set up as the current Aygo sound pack has but with Speakers moved from back to front doors, and speaker size in the doors appears to be 5.25".

Of course the current "old" sound pack also has room to install 5.25" Speakers in the back doors (like I've done), but for some odd reason they originally chose to include only those awful 4" Speakers as standard in the back.

Why oh why don't they do some more funky colours for this lovely little funky city car - how about

Aygo TANGO (Orange) - put me down for one of these!

Aygo MINT (Green)

Aygo OYSTER (Pearlescent)

Aygo FLIP (flip paing job) - or one of these

I am sure they would all be great sellers as there are plenty of Yellow 107's round Worthing so people do like the more vibrant colours

So has anyone taken delivery of one of the new Blue's then and, if so, pop some pictures up so we can all see what it looks like in the flesh!

Shame they put the main speaker so far into the door bin as, if your one of those untidy sorts, you're not going to hear anyting out of it once you have filled the door bin up with junk!
