Safety Recall

Just had my 53 plate t4 avensis in for what i thought was a steering safety recall,apparently they do a health check on the car before they do anything else,now this is were they try to make there money seeing as the recall is a freebie,they did a health check and found that i need new brake discs and pads(front and rear) and 4 wheel alignment at which point they rung me up and told me it would cost £700 to repair which i think is an extortionate amount of money.Suffice to say i have'nt had it done has i am sourcing the parts myself and wondered if anybody knew any sites i could visit to find these parts.
