was wondering if superchargers create heat like a turbo and if there is a nedd/benifit of a intercooler

also if i was to add an open filter would it suffer from heat soak? i had a BMC CDA carbon fibre filter on my vtr and when i removed the cold air feed it was noticable, really bogged down and no power until i started moving and cold air started to flow into the engine bay

cheers

Yes they will create heat as ultimately they are compressing air. How much heat depends on how much air you compress.

If possible, it would be beneficial to get a FMIC as this will cool the charge temp and as such present you with a denser mix of air/fuel and result in more power.

Open Cone Filter - Exhaust manifold is at the back of the engine bay on the CTS/CTSc, so as long as you put something in to direct air flow, you will be OK.
