and I think the 5 door back windows are not proper windows that you can wind down, just open with a clip! hene flappy glass..lol

And I agree with Jeff, you may have to compramise on some thins depending on how long your willing to wait for it!

Hmm...Assuming I pass on june 10 I'd want it as soon as possible afterwards. A trip to dundonald might be on the cards then. I would definitely want a test drive first.

Just depends on how fussy you are, any garage could probably sort you out an Aygo pretty quick, but when you start saying "I want Blue, 5 door, with Style Pack" you might have to wait for it to be delivered from the factory which can take up to 3-4 months.

They can see on their computer what is available in stock, at the time I went they only had Aygo Platinums at 1 - 2 weeks wait, but I really wanted an Aygo Blue.

You just need to shop around and see what is available. I think Dundonald were able to source me one from another garage rather than ordering one from the factory.

:!Removed!:

I'll go into shelbourne quite soon then and see how long they think it would take to get me one seeing as my test aint for 6 weeks or so.

Well things like the style pack could be added at a later date.... could they not?

The style pack include foglights so not sure really, some of the stuff can be added later, like the mudflaps and you can buy stuff individually - Mudflaps are £99 but the foglights I think would be the problem.

Yes they can, my style pack was fitted at the garage in their workshop as the car they sourced for me didn't have it.

And the rear glass isnt FLAPPY! lol, admittedly it is kinda pointless as it only opens an inch or two, but its better than nothing, it is an Aygo, not a Bentley!

I like the 3 door too, but I just wanted a 5 door car for a change as I was sick of picking up friends and having myself or others jumping in and out of the car to let them in the back, and for a mere £250 extra I thought it was worth it.

You should go and enquire now just to see what availability is like for the car you want.

Oh how ruuuuuuude!! You used to like you SJ! I love the cheapness of the Aygo, its pretty and its functional and it doesn't pretend to be something its not, and I love my rear windows, flappy or not! :lol2:

Yep, for looks alone I would go for the 3 door, but for the minimal price the extra practicality of 5 is a plus, & you'll probably get the money back on resale too. IMO the aircon with the blue does a decent job, so you'll probably never open the rear windows/flaps/airbrakes anyway.

Either way, Im sure you'll enjoy choosing & you'll find plenty of folk here who'll tell you that whatever you decide you wont go far wrong with any Aygo.

Happy shopping!

Why wouldn't you get a test drive a mean, how silly is that :)

Charles Hurst in Boucher Road told me they didn't have an Aygo on site for test drive and told me to try another garage, how silly is that!

Plus there aren't that many Toyota dealers to choose from in Northern Ireland, so I felt it was pretty poor attitude and service.

I would recommend the 5 door, my friends still stand out side waiting for me to let me in because they don't expect such a small car to have 5 doors. It's nice not having to get out to let people in/out in the rain too. I don't think the 5 door looks any worse/better than a 3 door, and as my friends prove most people don't notice anyway. I got mine for the price of a 3 door, I think you just have to decide what you will use your car for in future.

I would definitely recommed the 5 door. I was going to buy the 3 door until I hired a 5dr Aygo out to try about a month before buying - was very grateful I did - well worth the extra £250. With the small boot it is a big plus to have the back seats to play with. As for the back windows - I havn't even opened mine yet (have got a/c - so no need to).

You also said you were going to pay cash up front - I was too but they were doing interest free credit when I got mine (think they still are) - so better to keep the money in your bank rather than theirs.

Good luck with your test & happy motoring.

I agree - definitely glad I bought the 5 door
