Now now no need to be calling each other noobs :P

I was going for cash up front because I can pay off a credit union loan faster (base payments, then at end of the month put in whatever spare cash I have which could be as much as an extra 300 each month)

My first Aygo was Ice blue ...was a lovely colour but I prefer the lagoon blue, am very curious as to what the slate blue will look like.

Im gonna start headin to garages from monday hopefully. I should really have the set of options that i want finalised so that I can say the same thing to a cpl different garages and see which is the best.

I might lean more towards the 5 door... now sports pack... I think so. Leather interior? Worth it? Safety pack whatever they call it... worth it?

I didnt know there was a sports pack? Whats that consist of? an s/c? am not fan of the leather seats but I like the leather steering wheel, but then its not my car  Safety pack is that the rubbing strips and parking sensor? I would say not worth it IMO

I thought of getting the 3 dr, but then I thought: people get in by themselves, I can put more stuff in the back easy, the aspect of the car is 90% the same, and in case of a crash (god forbid) you can change the door instead of the... alot of metal.

Get 5dr, you won't regret it. Well, you won't regret the 3dr either, but 5 dr is more practical :)

Good shout - silver rules ok.

Couldn't go for that Chelsea blue being a Fulham supporter (sad really!).

Football's in the blood for some of us!

Go to your dealer & try out both. I bet you will enjoy the interior of the Platinum more than the blue. Just depends what extras you want for your dosh. Don't forget to haggle them down on price - you got to be looking for £400 - £500

discount on the set price + full tank petrol.

Good on you for trying it out. Good luck with the blue. I know they were in short supply about 5-6 weeks ago - do you know their availability now.

I saw another blue today 08 plate & must admit - it did look very nice.

Find out how much a siimilar spec 107 costs & if a lot less use that as a bargaining tool - it worked for me. Give them the impression you will not be scared to walk away if the deal is not to your liking.

That's pretty good. I doubt if you'll beat that price!

Don't forget to try for as many extras as poss. - full tank of petrol, rubber mats etc. I even got a free boot liner & a litre of oil.

Have they mentioned anything to you about putting supaguard protection on the car or gap insurance? They tried to sell me these after I agreed the price. People are divided about the supaguard (I didn't go for it as they were charging nearly £400 - later came down to £200 if I took out the gap insurance - which was £370). Read the previous threads about supaguard - there were laods of arguments & discussions about it. If you feel it's something you want, try to get it included in the deal for free (some others have done this before).

Try for as much as you can.

Oh I am definitely getting gap insurance. Ill need to read up on this supaguard thing.

They do the three door for 7905 and the 5 door for 8155. If I think that storing stuff in the back with the seats down is easily accessible through the boot(I'll be transporting a lot of computers and computer equipment normally) I might just get the three door. All depends.

I'll definitely be asking for a full tank of petrol.

I'm not getting the style or protection pack now. I would maybe get alloys and stuff later on but right now it's not important to me. GETTING OUT DRIVING IN THAT BAD BOY IS WHAT'S IMPORTANT! :D

Most of the cost of the supaguard is labour I believe. The thread you want to read was back in early March - it was titled "supaguard"

Let us know what you think about it.

I'll mention the supaguard thing when at the dealer but it doesn't seem worth the money. I'll prob be cleaning my car every fortnight if not every week. Though I am an idiot when it comes to cars so ill be asking for instructions on how to polish it and what cleaning products to use when washing it... and what order to do them in!

Theres a good guide here on how to clean a car properly, cos I am usless at it too

http://107codf.blogspot.com/search/label/Cleaning

Also I got a weeks worth of clothes and bits for a family of bits when I went on hoilday last year (and I have a lot of clothes  )

Plus I think the supaguard is expensive you can buy the stuff for £15 of the net and do it yourself, but I think it comes with the style pack if you get as I have supaguard and am not sure why cos I wouldnt have paid for it.
