Hi, Noob Here Going To Buy An Aygo

I clean my car once a week (the Aygo seems to get very very dirty - then I do bomb around a lot of country roads) & wax it once a month. I spend 15 minutes washing it with a sponge & turtle wax shampoo & rinsing it with a chamois. Comes up lovely. As long as you're careful I don't think you need to be too fussy. Scratches are going to happen sooner or later - life's too short to worry that much.

Plus I think the supaguard is expensive you can buy the stuff for £15 of the net and do it yourself, but I think it comes with the style pack if you get as I have supaguard and am not sure why cos I wouldnt have paid for it.

You would fit more stuff in more easily if you had the 5 door!

Worth a try - but I doubt if you'd get it for free.

I don't have a rev counter & have not even thought of having one. Is this just a young persons thing? (I'm the longer side of 40 now). I just drive by ear & always have done (last tank gave me 59mpg - so I must be driving ok).

What are the benefits of a rev counter???

Im a first time driver so it will take me a while to be able to play it by ear perfectly :P

Oh I am definitely getting gap insurance. Ill need to read up on this supaguard thing.

I got GAP insurance from www.click4gap.co.uk for £94 rather than go for the expensive toyota option. Also you can get a supaguard kit from eBay for £20 rather than pay £300 at Toyota.

I added the rev counter (which I purchased from Ebay) and I do use it, I didnt realise how much I used it until i took a test drive in an Aygo without one and felt a bit lost. I can't really hear the engine that well, especially with the radio on loud and use it to know exactly where the revs are. Helps when you are trying actively to drive economically.

Its not essential cos as u get used to the car you kinda know when you have to change up or down according to your speed, but its nice to have the rev counter.

Need to spray the rev counter surround to match my speedo :-)

I didn't have a rev counter on mine either; too expensive for my taste.

But then prices went down and I learned I could save some extra €/£ by

cutting the cowling myself, which reduced the price in total by over 65%...

Ordered and installed it and since then I did notice that my fuel economy

has gone up, as I found myself being a gear too low quite often...

I'm glad I DID buy one, I'm quite positive it's allready urned its keep :P

Im not prepared to install it myself as I am only good at destroying things, not creating them!!!! if someone will do it for me im sure i could fire some monays their way

ID really like it to be blue with the rest of the interior tho
