VVTL-i stands for Variable Valve Timing 'Lift' Inteligence.

Lift is as if a Turbo is kicking in, Once you get to 6200RPM In a CTS, Vrooom! Off you scoot.

The noise off the engines and the sudden surge of power is very addicting and very poor for your fuel economy. But you just dont care... That's what people are going on about :)

I know, I'm addicted myself! :P Although my Fianceé doesn't quite share my lovingness for it!

You'll soon be a member of "Lift Addicts Anonymous"

Although it's not really anonymous as all members are really good at admitting they have a problem!

*stands up

"Hi, i'm Gaz, and i'm addicted to Lift"

I've had my car for just over 3 months and I have to admit that i've only just started to use 'lift' in 1st gear i the last few days  The thought of revving a car upto 8k RPM in first gear would normaly be madness but the CTS just loves it. Although it is near impossible keeping it in 'lift' when changing up to 2nd

hold the clutch for a second longer with bit of throttle, usually helps for me 1st to 2nd lift :D failing that, typhoon kit does it no problem!!

i havent had my fix 2day, got the shakes!

It took me a while to get used to the 1st to 2nd change and keeping it in Lift, but as mentioned above just keep your foot on the throttle a little when changing and the K&N also helps. It's so much quicker!

I got my fix today over-taking 3 lorries in a row and then driving down country lanes to pick up my GF! :D

Do any of you guys have the TTE quickshift for quicker changes through the gears?
