Avensis Roof Gutter

I have water in the boot in my 2002 hatchback avensis. I have checked around lights, window seals etc and applied sillicone to all fixing points of the hatchback without success The forum posts suggests the leak may come from the roof gutters- there is a black strip here which seems tightly stuck down. What is the best way to remove this? Will easing a screwdriver underneath be successful and will the strip be reuseable afterwards. Is there a better way? Where are the fixing points or is it glued? Thought I would ask before potentially damaging this...

same problem here. I got 04 avensis d4d t-spirit. After a rainy day there's a pool on either side of the wing inside the boot. Haven't got time to investigate yet.
