Connecting Up A Parrot

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm thinking of getting a Parrot hands free kit for my mams 06 Aygo, was thinkin of the ck3100.

But when I go to the Parrot site it doesn't list the Aygo.

Although from searching the interweb I have found some pages with people that have connected them up.

Just wondering is it hard and what connector does it use? The official site has a diagram for the yaris is it the same as that?

Thanks

It is simple. You need a standard ISO for it as the loom in the Aygo is also ISO. This is included with the Parrot I believe, however I would phone Parrot to confirm this.

The Aygo has standard ISO connectors.

I just installed a Parrot CK300 in my dads' Landcruiser and can tell you the Parrot has standard

ISO-plugs, so no other wiring is needed. You DO need to swap the fuse-holders as descried in

the manual, else it will loose pairing and other settings each time you turn off the ignition...

For the rest it's mostly plug an play. There's plenty of space in the center console of the Aygo too,

only thing to keep in mind is to place the blue box facing the right way, for optimal reception.

If you've installed a car-radio at some point you can install a Parrot too. Depending on where

you want the display you could be done in under an hour. In my dads' car it took me three

as the space behind the dash was a pain in the behind to get to AND was really cramped too...

(the Landcruiser did need an adaptor-cable from Toyota to ISO, but that was allready in place)

Plus the parrot website has the manuals for install on almost every car with any of their systems.

The stupid thing is that most Parrot dealers advise you you need an "ISO-2-car" cable which is not true...

I checked that out on several on-line vendors and they were the same unfortunately...
