Awww... thanks for all the wishes. She's v cute but we do have a fuel leak problem (she keeps vomming up her food!) - so Anchorman, if there was a Haynes manual for this one, I'd buy it!

We did consider RAVina, but since we're still not in love with our T180 we decided not!

Anyway, onto a proper question - OH is looking into wheels, but unable to find what stud diameter and offset the T180 has - anyone know offhand??? No-one seems to sell alloys for the T180, so need more info to make sure we get the right ones. I could trade you for info on how to get baby poo out of your best shirt/seat upholstry....

Yes, it's in the section called "starting school", it's the first break you get  Don't worry, only kidding, it all goes terrifyingly quickly! Congratulations from me and mine all the way from Ireland

Is there a section on how to disassemble and reassemble?

for Wheels ....

http://www.alloyguide.co.uk/pcd.php

or http://www.alloywheelsinternational.com/wh...tmentguide.html (at bottom) for some explanations

Everyone seems to quote the RAV as having wheel fitment as:

Holes x PCD: 5 x 114.3

Offset: 35...38

Centre Bore: 60.0

For Tyres ....

http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html to help work out tyre sizes to keep rolling radii matched

AM, I saw that auction before and just looked again and read it differently :g:

How do you read this?

"a set of rav 4 18" alloy wheels and tyres with 235/55r1899h Bridgestone tyres on with aprox 5-6mm left on them all but one tyre has a flat "

is that "a set of rav 4 18" alloy wheels and tyres with 235/55r1899h Bridgestone tyres on with aprox 5-6mm left on them all but one tyre has a flat "

or is it "a set of rav 4 18" alloy wheels and tyres with 235/55r1899h Bridgestone tyres on with aprox 5-6mm left on them all but one tyre has a flat"

Congratulations on the new rrival Daisy. Best wishes from em and the family.

How to get sleep? I just send the missus and baby into the spare room :D

Hoovie, yeah, you could read it both ways, but he must have been extremely unlucky to have 3 punctures at the same time!! Then again, if I had 3 punctures at the same time, it might also make me get rid of the RFTs too.

Congratulations Daisy :D

Are you using a Toyota baby seat or something else?

We've got a Maxi-cosi Cabriofix (Isofix version) - but Hubby is gutted as he's since found out that we could have had a Recaro car seat and he'd much rather have had that!

Congratulation Daisy.

The seat sounds very snug and you may be using the Rav a lot more if it gets her to sleep.

My mate gave me that manual when the lad was born!:lol::lol:

Well Fuj, maybe it's a good manual or more likely you're just a naturally good parent, because the lad was very well behaved and a credit to you at The Fir Grove .....................Will it last? How long before he is a teenager? teenager=non-clearable DTC

.............and a late many congrats Daisy (Sorry, I meant to put them in my last post).

That's only because you keep telling him about the T180 run flats. After all, they induce the same reaction in adults!

lmao at the Munch caption thing. V good.

Right, on to serious matters. We've done it! Well we're in the process of doing it. We've purchased a set of wheels and we're going to put the b*ggers on... just as soon as we've got some tyres. So next question...

Any of you non-T180 owners recommend a 225/65/17 tyre?? Michelin, Bridgestone or Pirelli seem to be the contenders - I've not heard much good about Bridgestone though.

Thanks for all the advice so far - can this still be named after me if it all goes well??? ;)

Most non T180s seem to have yokohama geolanders on, IMO they seem a tad noisier than the bridgestones, i had on my 4.2, of the 3 you mention if they are all a similar price, my choice would always be michelins, ATS,+ costco seem to have some deals on michelins at the moment,

Hello All,

My name is Kirk Walker and I am the guy at Bridgestone who is resonsible for the Training on our BSR Tyre system as fitted to the Rav-4 T180.

Sorry to read that the system has been giving you a few problems, one thing that is not mentioned is that the system is also to help maintain control and keep the vehicle upright in the event of sudden pressure loss at high speed.

I have trained 93 Toyota agents in the UK and am now Training a further 67 Indipendent Tyre dealers around the UK who like the Toyota dealers we have supplied the machines.

More Tyre dealers are contacting us to be Trained on the fitting procedure as the actual Tyre machine has been around for the last eight years.

This of course will make "shopping around" for the best price possible.

Accross europe there are now over 1500 trained Toyota and Tyre agents.

Please fell free to email me with any questions and help with your local dealer ect, the last thing Bridgestone want is the System to be seen as a negitve thing.

Take care :)

Kirk

There are a few people on RAV4World who say the geolanders have a bit of a weakness in the sidewall :g: I know nothing about them, but remember reading that yesterday.

www.blackcircles.com are the most keenly priced supplier I can find at the moment - at least on-line.

I have always liked the Continentals, and they do a good tyre in the 225/65/17 size - Continental 4x4 Contact - £113 a corner fitted (Yoko and Bridgestone are £120 fitted)

Brave man Kirk... But we welcome the Industry manufactures and value your input and feedback.. No doubt you will get a load of messages...

The feeling of the Run Flats on here is not good and that Toyota is using it's customers as Guinea pigs to test them out....Cost to replace and time and effort...

Any how welcome to TOC and the RAV4 forum

Good points,

Like the self supporting runflat Tyres found on BMW ect this system had to start somewhere,

I am sure that the costs and times will go down now the T180`s are coming up for Tyre change as the first 18 months was very quiet for us as it was only puncture or impact damage that we came accross, not the worn Tyres we now see.
