Paint Issue And Boot Arms

Hello all

I have picked up my brand new Yaris SR today and I'm thrilled with it. The drive is great and I'm enjoying playing with the gadgets in it. :D

However I was very concerned about the paint finish as it appears that there are marks or scratches on the roof, drivers door and bonnet. The whole of the finish was poor considering that the car I have just sold never had a scratch on it, it was badly polished and the windows were streaky. The sales guy agreed and told me that he would have the car picked up tomorrow ( Thursday ) and I would get it back without a mark on it. I am a little worried that the paint finish maybe affected long term. Previously he told me that they use Autogard, which didn't fill me with joy. Does anyone think I am right to have these concernes!

Also I opened the boot and it never opened fully which resulted in me bumbing my head on the tailgate and I have a lump (small as it maybe) on my bonce. Anyone have the same problem

Regards

Tracy

I too have a bump on my bonce, although it was caused by banging it with a bit of plasterboard at work!

Oh, sorry, the boot. Yes, mine fails to open fully most of the time. I think it could do with new or stronger gas struts but they seem too expensive to be worth bothering. Just take a little care when opening and diving in.

Perhaps the dealer could sort this too, if you only just bought the car. B)
