Hi guys i need some help. think my head gasket as gone as my gen 7 is suddenly drinking coolant with no signs of leaks. does anyone know where i can get one cheap ?

Also does anyone know if the head bolts are stretch bolts ?

hi mate

yes they are stretch bolts and will need replacing,dont know where to get a cheap head gasket set,but its not an easy job and you will need new liquid gasket(fipg)for the chain cover and front mount bolts(pre treated with 3 bond)

thanks mate, done a couple of head gaskets on other cars but this one is starting to sound like a bit of a nightmare :o

Has anyone tried the stuff you can add to your coolant to fix blow gaskets/warped heads and if so is it any good ?
