Corolla Gxi Exhaust

I am after a second hand or new reasonably priced Corolla GXI exhaust, 92-99 model.

Standard will do the job, aftermarket for the same price will be met with promises of sexual favours.

I am in N. Ireland, so cant collect on the mainland, but I have posted an exhaust with parcel force before.

swap you one for a decat pipe?

Do you mean just the section of pipe you can get to replace the cat?

What condition is the exhaust you have to swap in?

yes just the cat replacement pipe for a standard exhaust.

there was no holes or leaks on the exhaust - but i will remove it from the car tomorrow and check it for you. are you still after an anti roll bar? cant see me needing a spare so it may as well get put to good use. there was a question i wanted to ask you - can the manifold from the starlet turbo be modified to fit? i did want to build a 7a-fte but after serious consideration following your opinions on turbo's and my own misfortune with them have decided to scrap that idea.

I will check the anti roll bar again soon, when I looked last time it was much thicker than I expected but, and the car handled well on the track with it but I will measure it again.

The 4efte maniflod wont fit a 4age head mate, and its the first thing we change on the Starlets anyway as its very restrictive.

A local lad here has a 7agte with a T3 turbo on it, he only runs 5psi as he has not low compression pistons from a 4agze on it. He had them before and could run 14 psi with that set up, it made over 200bhp at 5 psi, would be an animal at 1 bar!. He has a custom mani on his, made in South Africa, its a real good one.

The cheapest cat replacement pipe I could find was nearly the same price as a new GXI complete exhaust, minus the cat. Myself and a friend own the car between us, I will have to speak to him about the swap. Are you thinking of running a different manifold on your car?

alright john

i have removed the complete system and its is fine, the original toyota ones go on for ever. do you need the down pipe and manifold as i have spares of them too? i removed the anti-roll bar today as well so its ready if you want it. If there are any other parts you need let me now as i am gonna have the car scrapped asap. Been looking at other options for the 7a-fe but the rebuild is a while off - not gonna take the turbo route, basically i want reliability with the occasional trip to the ring. i have brakes and suspension waiting to be fitted but i've had a couple of hiccups - the engine i installed had been standing for a fair while but it fired straight up. i had a problem with idle speed and after timing and checking all the sensors it turned out the headgasket is leaking very slightly, must have gone brittle. one of the seals in the gearbox is leaking to so i've ordered the parts and hopefully get that sorted at the weekend and finish doing the headgasket next week - fingers crossed

Ok, it seems shipping to N. Ireland makes this an expensive exhaust, so I am now after one in Ireland, North or South.

Someone must have one of these, probably next to a pile of rocking horse crap lol.
