Newbie With Gen 7 Problem

Hows it goin ppl, long story short, my Battery was dying about 3weeks ago. Only got a new Battery last monday but didnt have the chance to put the new Battery in till friday night, so eveything was fine, radio came on, lights work n sound comes on when the door is open with lights on....so i go to turn the car on, but the immboliser doesnt make the clicking sound. I press it again n nothing happens, so now the engine wont come on. Any clue whats wrong? Thanks in advance.
