the turbo's in some GT4's are ceramic, that means their lovely and light, spool up quickly but after 10 or so years of use or abuse the shaft snaps, just general wear and tear really, obviously good maintenance (spelling? lol) will prolong the life of the turbo but it will go eventually.

the bottom ends on the ST205's are what you've probably heard going, that only happens if the engines been modified on the cheap, det causes the piston rings to go.

under normal use the engines are bullet proof, even under mild tune they are strong engines, mine produced it's 252BHP with a blown head gasket!

when i get mine im looking at front mount intercooler, walbro fuel pump a good filter kit and nurspec exhaust so not goin mad ow and running at 1 bar boost apparently thats as high as i should go to allow for internals to be maintaind. i am a tech anyway so when i get mine it will be serviced every 4 month 4-5 thousand miles with a good turbo time for allowing turbo to cool. so hopefully i should be good and runnin a decent bhp

if its a 205 then ditch the FMIC, it is not worth the cost and hassle to fit. the standard CC setup is good for 400-450bhp anyway. 1.1bar is safe on the 205 as well will get you to about 300-330bhp.

if its a 185 ATA then the fmic isnt a bad idea and unless your fitting a metal HG then i wouldnt go above 0.9bar

yea the boost controller is how you would increase the boost. ecu isnt needed unless you are planning on going to unsafe levels ie above 1.1 bar
