Has anybody used ultimate diesel, i know it costs more but does it make much difference to fuel consumption or performance

Unfortunately none of the BP garages around where i live / convenient garages do not sell ultimate.

However i only use Shell vpower diesel - the equivilant. I have no idea how different they are in make up. For me, vpower has been proven to keep the injectors clean which is important for the t180 CR diesel.

For the cleaning reasons it satisfies me, bonuses are in my t180 it does rev higher, pickup slightly better and runs quieter with less smoke even though smoke was good anyway.

That said about the inejectors, each fillup costs about 3-5 pounds more. I reckon its unlikely you will have injector problems at all - esp. within the first 80k miles. I'm just the kind of person to try and keep everything in good condition.

OldSkoO1, it says davray has the 2.0 D4D and so far we believe the engine unlike your T180 is tuned for regular diesel.

Us 2.0 owners have noticed an increase in noise at idle, reduction in power with premium.

Only performance cars that are badged "sport" "gti" "sti" "t180" "brabus" etc... are really tuned for premium fuel.
