Hey,

Then I get my Aygo Platinum! Can't wait, previously had the 107 but so glad to be able to move over to the Toyota version. Couldn't believe the drive difference between the two when I headed out for the test drive. Toyata gear box seems to give a much smoother ride and slightly better acceleration between 3rd and 4th.

I'm amazed at how much more you get on this edition compared to the 107 Urban model I had before. Any one else made the move over?

Just something about the Toyota Badge and stylings that seem to make it a much cooler car. I mulled around the forums for ages trying to work out where to put that 'first' post, thought I'd plump for a new topic. Hope nobody minds.

Looking forward to spending more time kicking around here, and hello to you all!

Welcome to the Aygo clan! I would have assumed the Aygo, C1 and 107 all had the same gearbox, but maybe they have modified the box used since you got your 107.

Personally I think the 107 and C1 are incredibly ugly cars compared to an Aygo, its interesting to see how different you can make a car look by just changing the front and back. Aygo is a much slicker and sportier looking car than its ugly sisters  :lol2: Good on ya for dumping your car for its hot sister ;) heh heh!

Having said all that, if the Aygo was taken off the market completely I prolly would buy a 107 lol.... or maybe a Twingo :) ... or a Fiat 500!

At first I wanted the 107 but then I saw the Aygo and was like :o love it :D

One of the guys across the road has got a 107 a silver one, but comparing it to mine (our driveways are straight on toeach other) mine is way sexier ;)

wooo!!!

I thought they'd have the same gear box too, but talking to the dealer apparently the Toyota has a Toyata gear box, Peugeot a Peugeot, etc.

And it turns out that they lied - Car arrived in the country today!!! I get to pick it up in a week! Mulling through the forums everyone seems cool and people were friendly when I wandered over to the stand at JAE last year. I'm looking forward to going again this year.

I am really shocked the dealer has said that it has a different gearbox, as they are made in the same factory! the only difference to the best of my knowledge was the exterior styling. But you are right the toyota is much cooler and sexier than the 107.

Welcome to the club anyway!
