with only 2 bars of petrol my 1.4 feels really weak on power! dont think this has happend on my previous 1.4 auris but my previous auris was modded.

anyone else?

could be the hot weather .....

Yep less dense air was always noticeable in my petrol cars (performance filter may help). Strangely D-4D seems to have no effect if not better in the hot.

In hot weather i get about 5MPG more and cars feels just a quick :)

Same here, hot weather gives more performance to me if I push it to hard, if not, then it's economy. ;)

Oh, and about the topic...

Strangely enough, I felt the 'exact' opposite of that. When there's 3 or less bars on the fuel indicator, the car gives faster reactions to the gas pedal. Although it is not something too much of a difference but I can just feel it everytime. It's not obvious when taking off though, you can feel it while rolling.

Car is about 40 kg lighter compared to the full tank ;)
