just finished cleaning the rav , and noticed alloys are not glimming like they used to . and tyres are looking a bit dull , looking for advice on alloy wheel cleaners or is good old bleach just as good , only used shampoo and elbo grease up to now . and also a good tyre cleaner , dont want to spend to much , as shampoo and wax costs me a fair few quid

cheers :D

I have used Wonder Wheels for years and always done a great job for me.

Not bleach!

Wonder wheels or Meguiars wheel cleaner work well. The former used to be in a class of its own, but lots of the others have caught up now.

I also quite like the Meguiars tyre dressing, though I usually forget to use it. On that basis a bottle lasts forevAR.

I use tar remover to get all the spots and brake dust off the use car polish to finish. I'm very wary of alloy cleaners as some of them are corrosive and Toyota wheels are prone to damage/pitting.

No - only if they wobble. I've posted a better image from the 4.2 manual with a different procedure.

Only use Wonder Wheels once or twice a year, it is too strong.

For weekly cleaning use Tesco's pink alloy wheel cleaner, at £1.50 a bottle is good value.

For tire dressing, go to a proper motor factors, not Halfords, and buy a huge spray tin of Holts or Comma foaming tyre cleaner.

i like to keep the wheels (tires) rotating at the same direction (old behaviour when driving an is200).

so i don't cross them from left back to right front. only left front to left back etc. like the picture of jibbbbbb posted.
