ouchness! gutted for you... but ill never ever risk putting my car through a carwash... i wont even let my dad wash her after he scratched my old car! carwash is about as harmful as a scouring pad i'd say!

and sod the environment, the car does enough to help that on its own :P hehe

Anyone got a quote yet on the front spats sprayed + fitted?

You thought possibly BadboyVTEC as a secondary option you could try rubbing it down and spraying yourself?

Notice the gray colour by were the paint has flaked off, that is the plastic. Besides I would have to spray the whole bumper in order for it to all look the same colour. The front spats pop up on eBay every so often for about £50. So to re-spray the bumper I have been quoted about £170 I would put the spats on first so they can spray them at the same time.

Just how did he manage to scratch your last car?

Car washes are pretty brutal on the car, and they always seem to dry streaky :(

All i mean is maybe its worth trying yourself first anyway, would save alot of cash if it looked gd. Just need to try blending in the bits where the paint has flaked off, no need doing the whole lot.

I kno if it was me i would rather give it a go myself potentially saving £100 + which could be spent on many other things.

I see what you mean by getting the spats done at the same time but even then if you had the carbon quartz paint from the above job ^ you could even spray the spats :)
