Hi,

basically i had a drive down 2 london this weekend and was checking my average MPG as I drove down.

This was quite useful but I would like 2 take it off now cuz its annoying me, I know you can but i forgot.

Please help. Its doing my head in.

I want to keep the time and temp, just remove the AV MPG thing.

CHEEEEEEERS! :D

I've just sat in mine and this is what I did (with no CD in - not sure if it makes a difference)

The display was on 'trip' showing how many miles of petrol I've got left, I pressed the AM-FM button to put the radio on, then pressed the (|) off button just next to the CD slot to switch off the radio, and the display has cleared just leaving time and temp. Hope this works for you :)

Out of interest what mpg did you get on your trip to London?

Thanks, i shall try this later on.

The thing is iv got an aftermarket head unit so I dont actually use any of the cd controls on the dash. So its like it never turns off! hmmpf! il ava gander later.

If anyone else knows how to do it with an aftermarket HU. Be nice.

Erm well i didnt quite do it right johnny, its was like 218 miles round trip. Got my overall average up from 31.2 - 35.8 mpg.

Will do it properly next time.

Thanks 2 both of you for the replies.

tried your solutions but to no avail!

none of the cd controls work cuz of the new head unit. Just the trip stuff.

I hope iv not gotta plug in the old cd player just 2 turn off the AV display.

Please any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance!

either disconnect your Battery for 30 mins and should wipe it, never tried it.

but this one worked on mine, when I was messing around with my HU I took all the wires out to completely remove the front of the dash (the part with the heater controls and clock) and once it was all plugged back in the av. MPG had dissapeared.
